Exploring Rome’s Latest Culinary Hotspots

Rome’s culinary landscape is ever-evolving, with new establishments offering both traditional flavors and innovative concepts. Here are some of the latest additions to the city’s vibrant food scene.

Viride by Carlo Cracco

Renowned chef Carlo Cracco has made his Roman debut with the opening of Viride, located within the Corinthia Rome hotel in Piazza del Parlamento. The restaurant offers contemporary Italian cuisine, blending Cracco’s signature style with local ingredients. The hotel also features two other dining venues under Cracco’s direction: Ocra Bar, inspired by Roman sunsets, and Piazzetta, serving traditional dishes throughout the day.

Futura

In the Monti district, Futura presents an intimate dining experience with just 20 seats and an open kitchen. Chef Anastasia Paris crafts a menu that changes frequently, focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative takes on classic dishes. Highlights include ravioli filled with tripe in celeriac broth and beef cheek with black tea and anchovies.

Food Trucks at the Ryder Cup

During the recent Ryder Cup held at Marco Simone Golf Club, food trucks showcased creative twists on Roman classics. The ‘APECESARE’ truck offered a carbonara burger featuring Damini beef, carbonara sauce, guanciale, lettuce, pepper, and caramelized onion. Another highlight was the ‘Spritz Bar’ truck, serving spritzes mixed by Moët & Chandon.

These new establishments and offerings reflect Rome’s dynamic culinary scene, blending tradition with innovation to delight both locals and visitors.
