American Exchange Rome (AER)

Established in 2012, the American Exchange Rome (AER) is a non-profit network for American and international women in Rome. AER organizes a variety of events from September through June, including monthly aperitivos and activities focused on culture, fitness, and community service. Renewable and Solidarity Energy Communities

The Network of Renewable and Solidarity Energy Communities of Rome and Lazio (CERS) unites over 17 community energy initiatives across the region. This non-profit organization supports the development of energy cooperatives that produce and share renewable electricity, reinvesting local revenues into social, environmental, and educational projects. Village for the Earth

Each year, Rome hosts the ‘Village for the Earth’ to celebrate World Earth Day. Organized by Earth Day Italy in collaboration with the Focolare Movement of Rome, the event transforms Villa Borghese into a hub for sporting, cultural, and artistic activities. The four-day event features multimedia squares dedicated to various objectives, offering workshops, exhibitions, and events organized by different organizations, including a creative village for children. Mama Termini

Since 2019, the ‘Mama Termini’ project has been offering support to displaced and marginalized individuals at Rome’s Termini station. Every Sunday, volunteers organize a ‘tavolata’—a communal meal—where people can meet and interact. Local businesses donate most of the food, which is prepared by volunteers. Joy Point Powered by Unhate

Joy Point is a free, inclusive summer camp in Rome, run by Sport Senza Frontiere and supported by the Unhate Foundation. Aimed at children and teens aged 6 to 15, the camp offers sports, educational workshops, and shared growth opportunities. Older teens volunteer to help organize activities, learning leadership skills and fostering a sense of belonging. Retake Roma at Parco Colle Oppio

Retake Roma, a widespread association dedicated to the care of common goods, initiated a project at Parco Colle Oppio in collaboration with local organizations. Starting in January 2021, volunteers, including those assisted by Caritas and local parishes, engaged in activities to restore and maintain the park. Il Centro at Pigneto

Located in the Pigneto neighborhood, ‘Il Centro’ is a social cohesion project offering educational and training activities for immigrants and individuals in need. Orti Urbani Garbatella

Situated within Parco Garbatella, Orti Urbani Garbatella comprises 25 urban gardens assigned to associations and local families. Activities include tree planting, beekeeping, and educational courses on first aid and composting.
